Helfa Gelf ART TRAIL 2018

Helfa Gelf ART TRAIL comes to MOLD in September.
Helfa Gelf /Art Trail, North Wales’ biggest Open Studio Event, invites you to visit artists at work in their studios this September. Now in its 12th year, this free annual event is spread right across North Wales with studios taking part in Gwynedd, Conwy, Flintshire, Denbighshire and Wrexham. It is a unique chance for visitors to peek behind the scenes, experience this normally hidden world and get to chat to the artists and crafts people about their creative process.
Every weekend this September, forge your own art trail around the area, calling in on painters, sculptors, photographers, jewellery makers, woodworkers, potters, textile workers, glass makers, basket weavers, printers, each one with a highly individual skill. Seeing an artist in action, chatting over a cup tea amongst the paints, clay and saw-dust gives you a real insight into the artistic process. And with over 250 to choose from there’s definitely something for everyone. Take this great opportunity to hunt down those undiscovered art treasures and see how they’re made – whether you are just curious about what artists and craftspeople do in their studios, or want to start your own collection of interesting artworks bought direct from the makers.
We think North Wales is an overlooked gem for the visual arts and crafts in Wales, with loads of artists and makers beavering away up mountain tracks and sea-side cul-de-sacs.

I will be showing my work at my home/studio for three weekends this year
8th, 9th, 22nd, 23rd and 29th, 30th September
11am - 5pm
